Beach Wedding Arch With Four Poles

great Spanky Stokes Millions of bees vanish without a trace in the U.S. and worldwide

"If the bee disappeared from the planet, the man would only 4 years of life"
Albert Einstein.

looks like the beginning of an apocalyptic film, I have to say it is really worrying. and all governments have to do something real. to stop this big problem,

The role of these insects in the ecosystem is essential. True to a FAO report found that of 100 plant species provide 90% of food supplies in 146 countries, 71 are pollinated by abejas.hay clear evidence that the population of these insects declines worldwide.

In the U.S., no less than 70% of commercial honey bees have disappeared, and in Europe the situation is not much better. This phenomenon has a special name: colony collapse disorder (CCD)

Drastic reduction of bee colonies around the world could lead to a food crisis.

crisis could devastate the U.S. beekeeping industry millionaire
GM crops, pesticides or change climate could affect the reduction of these insects Photo: Reuters Something happens to the bees, which apparently are disappearing, no one knows why. This occurs in different parts of the world, according to records from different sources, from the U.S. daily The New York Times, to the German magazine Der Spiegel.

"More than a quarter of the 2.4 million bee colonies in America were lost, ie, tens of thousands of millions, according to estimates by Apiary Inspectors of America, one of the most authoritative organizations in the field, Alexei Barrionuevo reported in The New York Times, 24 April.

otherwise if Einstein actually said this:
A lot of you have probably been hearing the 'buzz' about the disappearing bees. Almost every news story prints a quote attributed to Albert Einstein. The quote goes: "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left."

I was reading DailyKos and some commenter said that Einstein did not make that quote which I'm inclined to believe. So I googled the phrase and couldn't find anything to say where it came from. I searched google groups and couldn't find any post before 2002. Since Usenet groups go way back I figured someone would have quoted it before 2002. Here is a link to the oldest story I could find with the quote:

Does anyone know if Einstein actually said this (I don't think he did) or who actually first said this? I can guess why someone would falsely attribute the quote to Einstein. Because it would carry more weight.

I did find one quote that I think can be reasonably attributed to him about bees http://www.monthlyreview.org/598einst.htm:

"It is evident, therefore, that the dependence of the individual upon society is a fact of nature which cannot be abolished—just as in the case of ants and bees."

alarmante realmente , reporten si por donde viven ven abejas . !!

eally alarming, reporting whether they live bees. !
